I've been very, very tired of social media lately. It's become so hard to find real people, to make real connections, and especially, to express myself.
There's nothing personal about expression when it comes to social media. We're all confined to the same customization variables, the algorithms only promote homogenous content with no identity whatsoever, and it forces everyone into playing it's rule set just to be able to be seen.
On top of this, the art itself tends to get buried unders tons of interaction posts if you actually use social features. I love reposting, commenting and all of that stuff to support artists I love, but this also means that a lot of creations get lost in the ether.
All of these things made me interested in building a site of my own, with aesthetics I like, a layout I like, to share things I care about and showcase my own art.
The only issue was I had never coded before in my life, but on November 23rd 2024 I decided to start learning so I could make this place real.
It's not the most elaborate site ever, but it's good enough for me.
I also wanted to talk about my interests, but I honestly have no idea what to write about, so instead of something cool you can have a bunch of lists on my favorite things and stuff 'cause I'm lazy!
I limited myself to 1 thing per franchise/artist on the games and albums lists 'cause those were gonna be infinite if I didn't lmao
They're also ordered alphabetically because I didn't feel like ordering it in a sensical way.
